Defining PRIDE

PRIDE. The once, powerful meaning of the word has been kidnapped and dragged through the gutter by the LGBTQ community. The same has been done to God’s majestic rainbow colors, and the word “gay”, which used to mean happy and light-hearted.

Since June is PRIDE month, my PRIDE colors are those of the flag of the United States of America and my definition of PRIDE is the following:

I’m proud to be…
• An American
• Proud to be married to a good, hard-working and loving woman
• Proud to be a straight, heterosexual man
• Proud to have had good parents and to have good brothers and a good sister
• Proud to be a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son
• Proud of traditional families
• Proud to have good, respectful kids who show me the way
• Proud to have a good extended family
• Proud of good and honorable friends
• Proud of God’s creations
• Proud to be religious
• Proud of my beliefs
• Proud of wholesome causes
• Proud of my career
• Proud of the things I’ve learned
• Proud of those who have served our country
• Proud of our country’s flag and colors – not of other flags and colors trying to replace Old Glory
• Proud of the freedoms we possess as Americans
• Proud of those who immigrate legally to the US and contribute good things to this country
• Proud of those who oppose tyranny, oppression, economic lunacy and human degeneracy in whatever form
• Proud to have changed after having been shown the error of my ways
• Proud to live a life where I can make choices
This is what PRIDE means to me.
